La Shawn Barber'sLa
Shawn Barber's post today exactly nails the immigration problem. Our
founding fathers were concerned about Human rights that are
God-given rights. America is a melting pot where immigrats
assimilate into the culture. I see the illegal aliens coming in and
they don't assimilate at all. They don't want to become Americans. They
just want the civil rights the liberals will give them. They
don't want to learn English. It's hurting the schools. I've moved my
children to a school where English is spoken at 70% verses a school
where english is spoken only at 35%. I'm all for preserving our country
and stopping the illegal from coming in and taking it over. I don't
want America becoming a third world nation. We need one set of rules,
no double standards. If you want to come here, stand in line and wait
your turn. Learn English, and follow our rules.
What makes America unique is e pluribus unum, one made out
of many. While America may not have begun with diverse racial and
ethnic groups, the founders laid the foundation for a time they had not foreseen. That’s the beauty of it. Guided by the hand of God, they didn’t need to foresee it. All they needed to do was build the foundation on solid, objectively good principles, and yes, Christian values, and the rest fell into place. America wasn’t built on “white values.” It was built on human values, with recognition to God-given rights.
But
people opposed to these rights are trying to break the foundation and
create something new, something that is doomed to fail. America works
because it is America. It will cease to work if it becomes a third
world nation and dominated by inferior subcultures. Special interest
groups and organizations intent on tearing up the foundation and
changing the dominant culture to suit their needs are destroying the
country.
